Taildraggers, Inc. For/Sale Wanted FAQ and Rules

The Taildraggers, Inc. For Sale/Wanted section is completely FREE to use. Listing your item is FREE, browsing is FREE, and contacting sellers is FREE. Yep, it's all completely FREE. Why? Because the whole purpose of this site it so promote and support General Aviation. There are no User Fees here!

In order to place an item in the For Sale/Wanted forums, you must be a registered member of the site. Registration is also FREE, and only takes a moment to complete. Don't worry, we aren't going to sell your email address, and we're not going to send you a bunch of spam. If we didn't require everyone to register, the site would become overloaded with inappropriate ads selling non-aviation items. If you are not already a registered member, you may register by clicking HERE.

When listing your item, please be clear about what you are looking to do. Indicating if you are looking to buy, sell, or trade is very important. Please preface your listing in one of the following ways:

FS - This indicates that you have an item For Sale
Wanted - This indicates that you are looking for something
Trade - This indicates you are looking to trade something

Also be sure to appropriately title your listing. Don't just put "Airplane for sale". Include the type of aircraft, and maybe something to set it apart, such as "1946 Piper J-3 Cub, Restored in 2009", or "Sonex w/Jabiru 3300 - The Fastest Sonex in the World!". Help everyone else know what you're selling, but don't be misleading!

In your listing, it is of absolute importance to let everyone know where the item your are selling is located. Providing this little detail can save you a ton of questioning from people who are interested, but too far away.

Of equal importance is an asking price. All items being offered for sale MUST include an asking price.

When describing the item you are offering or seeking, the more more details you can provide, the better. We don't limit the amount of information you put into your ads, so don't skimp.

Pictures are worth a thousand words. Include them. Like everything else, it's completely FREE to include pictures. We prefer that you upload the pictures, but you can also use the [img] tags to insert images that are hosted elsewhere if you like.

Finally, don't forget to tell people how to get in touch with you. GANation features a Private Message function, but unless you check it regularly, you may miss out on a sale. Including an email address or phone number may help to sell your item faster.
